PLN#6

As usual, I was searching through the huge pile of 1000 plus items and I came across an article called "Is payment for good grades legitimate motivation in this day and age, "about an idea to pay kids for there good grades. You might be thinking well, that's dumb, students should work for nothing. Well it turns out getting paid for good grades is a pretty good idea, at least for the student. For example, a seventh grader might get $500 in one year just for good grades. Personally, that seems pretty high, especially for a middle school student. We may find that if we pay students for good grades, we will see more graduates and less drop outs. This is likely, since kids need money. Kids will be willing to work hard for a little extra doe. From personal experience, I know this is a great idea. I would like to make money for grades. It feels good to get some cash here and there and end up learning things at the same time. This is what it would look like. You get paid for A's and B's and you have to pay your parents for C's D's and F's. Your parents will decide the price per grade. So look at it this way you could be making a few hundred dollars this year.

Getting paid for grades is something that I would be for. Obviously because I'm a student. I no that the smallest amount of cash is a good thing for students. Students need a motivational tool to use to get great grades. In this case it's cash. In the end it's not just money there working for its also for a better future.

Carter, you did a good job, I agree with what you said, paying kids for grades is a good incentive for them to achieve good grades. Next time, maybe, you should try not to sound so scared.

Carter! Good job talking about the article, but when you said that a seventh grader could get paid $750 dollars a year, but I think I read that it was $750 dollars a semester. But I have to disagree with you about getting paid for grades. Kids should strive to do good. Without having to get paid.

Carter, You did really good, I just think you could of practiced more. Though I disagree with you about how money is a good motivator, though it can be, but it shouldn't be their only motivation.

you could relate well and you knew your points but you stuttered and stalled often so if I were you I would practice talking to get over that stage fright.

Carter you did a good job in speaking clearly to your audience, you did seem a little unprepared and lost. Maybe try practicing your presentation and making sure you are familiar with your notes. You did good on relating it to yourself, you kind of just repeated alot so maybe go into more detail and talk about other

Carter, you did well on talking about you're article, it went by a little slow. Next time, try to make it a little longer, but you still did well.

Carter, I think that you need to work on presenting infront of the class more. When you were presenting you mummbled a lot so it was hard to hear you in back of the class. You did a really good asking the audiance questions.

Carter, I think you had a good presentation overall. Maybe just talk a little bit louder and don't pause as much. You had some good points in your article.

You did really well on your presentation. You seemed a little nervous, but you made eye contact, so that was really good of you. Your conclusion was a shaking, but those are always difficult. Umm popped up a lot in your presentation, so try working on that, but otherwise, good job.
